ABOUT
The Page's Webmaster
Hi, I'm Alison, this site's self-appointed webmaster :D
My intentions are to have as much information concerning our heritage as possible. So, this is definately a work in progress. I'm sure it'll never be complete! Bare with me!
I'm sure I'll have lots of help getting information to add... people such as my father, Wayne and my sister, Aimee.
The Ancestor List
Are we related? Is your great-grandfather our mother's cousin's grandma's nephew once removed? There's only one way to find out . . . . In this list, names and dates are indexed by surname:
LeBoeuf
Hill
Trosclair
Picou
As mentioned on our home page, as soon as I have a complete index of surnames, I'll post them.
About the Family Roots
The Hills have been researched back to like the 1500's... back to Ireland and beyond.
Our paternal grandfather was Roy P. LeBoeuf. From what we've heard, there were 3 brothers that came down from the Canada area. They split up and decided on different spellings for their names.
Our maternal grandmother, Hazel Picou Trosclair's parents were from France and from Italy. They migrated here to the U.S. Hazel's first language was French. She later became one of the area's first (and youngest) female teachers. She taught English!
We don't know much about our maternal grandfather, Kerwin (better known as Coonie) Mark Trosclair's family. We do know that his mother was Native American - Choctau(w?).
